Commercial Solar Energy
A commercial solar energy system can benefit your company in numerous ways. The system provides cost effective, clean, renewable energy along with many other benefits. Below is a simple diagram of how a standard commercial energy system would function.
1.
Solar Array: The production of energy starts here. The solar array is comprised of a series of solar panels lined up together. When sunlight hits the solar array, DC electricity is generated.
2.
Inverter: The DC electricity from your array travels to the inverter, where it is converted from DC to AC electricity. AC electricity is identical to the type of power you receive from your companies' electric supplier.
3. The service panel: This panel systematically distributes your solar power to necessary loads throughout your company. If the power generated by your solar system is not needed at the time it is produced, it will be pushed out to the electrical grid and back to the electric supplier.
4. Utility Power Grid: As your excess electricity is routed back to the power grid, your meter will spin backwards earning you credits towards your bill.
